Clinical Trial 56440

Montclair, CA 91763

Summary:

We are actively researching a novel, oral study medication that may help people living with type 2 diabetes improve and control their blood sugar levels-with their own insulin. Type 2 diabetes is caused by the loss and function of your beta cells, which are responsible for the production of insulin. Without insulin your body can not absorb and transform sugar into energy. The Biomea Fusion Research Team has found a way to help your body potentially restore these beta cells, so you can again make the insulin you need -naturally. Early preclinical and clinical results have shown that with the use of BMF-219 (for several weeks only) your beta cell mass and function can potentially improve and insulin levels can rise again, bringing your A1C possibly back to normalized levels.

Criteria:

•    If you are 18 to 65 years old
•    If you are currently living with type 2 diabetes, and not using insulin to treat your type 2 diabetes
