If you suffer from Major Depressive Disorder, consider participating in a clinical research study!
The Vistagen MDD Study is a clinical trial testing the efficacy, tolerability and safety of the oral antidepressant being evaluated. If you are eligible, all study related care and treatment will be provided to you at no cost.
You may qualify if you:
- Are between the ages of 18 and 65
- Have been diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder (MDD)
- Are currently experiencing a Major Depressive Episode lasting 8 or more weeks
- Have a history of inadequate response to at least 1 antidepressant
- Are in good general health

What is Depression?
Depression is a mood disorder that ranges in levels of intensity and duration. Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) is a more severe form of depression that can cause feelings of hopelessness, sadness, anger, loss of interest, fatigue and anxiety. This condition can affect the way people think feel and behave causing disturbances in their everyday life.
Symptoms may include:
- Depressed or irritable moods.
- Feelings of sadness and hopelessness.
- Loss of interest or pleasure in activities.
- Fatigue or loss of energy.
- Changes in weight or appetite.
- Sleep issues.
- Reoccurring thoughts of death, suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts or suicide
