Summary:

Local doctors are recruiting ethnically/racially diverse participants for a research study to demonstrate the benefit of investigational medication for Type 2 Diabetes


Qualified Participants Must:

• Be 18 years old or older
• Have been diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes
• Have uncontrolled diabetes (HbA1c levels between 7.5-10%)
• Be Hispanic of any race, non-Hispanic black/African American, or non-Hispanic Asian*
• Treated with any basal insulin (i.e., glargine [100 U/mL or 300 U/mL], detemir, degludec, intermediate-acting [human NPH]) for at least 6 months
• Be receiving 1 or 2 of the following oral anti-diabetic drugs: metformin, pioglitazone/rosiglitazone, an SGLT-2 inhibitor, or a sulfonylurea (SU)
*Decision for ethnic/racial inclusion will be made based on patient self-identification.


Qualified Participants May Receive:

Study-related medication might be provided at no cost. Compensation may be given for participation.
