Summary:

Are you or a loved one living with asthma?
North Texas Lung and Sleep Center is seeking volunteers with severe uncontrolled asthma for a clinical research study in Fort Worth, Texas.

About the study
This study is examining the safety and effectiveness of repeat dosing of benralizumab versus placebo on top of standard care of asthma therapy in patients with severe uncontrolled asthma. If you’ve had 2 or more asthma attacks while on maintenance inhaled corticosteroids and another asthma controller that required treatment with systemic corticosteroids in the last 12 months, you may be eligible.

    You may qualify for this study if you:
    • Are between the ages of 18 and 75
    • Have been diagnosed with asthma
    • Are stable on current asthma treatment regimen
    • Have had at least 2 asthma attacks in the last 12 months
    • Have not previously received benralizumab

    If qualified, participants will receive at no cost:
    • Investigational study medication or placebo
    • Study-related care from a local doctor
