have inadequate control with metformin.
Be 18 years of age or older Have a HbA1c of 7.0% - 10.0% Your BMI is 20 and -45 kg/m2 Have type 2 diabetes and be on metformin at a stable dosage 1500 mg/day at least 12 weeks before enrollment Are willing to perform self-monitoring of blood glucose
