    For over 15 years, Center for Clinical Studies (CCS) has been serving our patients with cutting edge new treatments for various dermatological and infectious diseases.   • Research Site Description:

    Center for Clinical Studies has two offices located in Houston (The Museum District) and Webster, TX.   CCS conducts Phase I - IV clinical trials for the Pharmaceutical industry and Government, as well as Investigator initiated studies. We are committed to providing accurate and detailed research in a timely and professional manner.

    Patients are drawn from the greater Houston metropolitan area, the fifth most populous metropolitan in the U.S. With 2.3 million people in the city of Houston, we have a large and diverse population for potential participants.  In addition to Dr. Tyring’s private Dermatology office, we utilize the following tools for patient recruitment:

  • Additional Information:

    Stephen K. Tyring, M.D., Ph.D., M.B.A. is a board-certified Dermatologist and Virologist whose research interests include the therapy of various mucocutaneous diseases; especially those disorders with an infectious and/or immunological basis.  He is an expert on herpes viruses, particularly Shingles, the herpes zoster virus.  Dr. Tyring has pursued these fields for more than 30 years and has successfully completed more than 300 clinical trials.  He is an invited speaker at world-wide medical and public health conferences, the author of over 700 journal articles and book chapters, as well as nine books. 

    In addition to his roles as Medical Director and Principle Investigator at Center for Clinical Studies, Dr. Tyring has the following current appointments:
