Research Site Description:

Wake Research's headquarters and research facility is located in Raleigh, NC. It is fully equipped to meet the needs of sponsors and CROs in the conduct of Phase I-IV clinical trials in a large variety of indications. Our Phase I facility (Carolina Phase I Clinical Research) is ideal for inpatient/outpatient studies. Some of our amenities include: semi-private rooms, meal services, volunteer lounge, showers, TV, internet and phone access, as well as convenient access to major medical centers.

Our site facilities include:

• Certified Endoscopy Unit with 5 suites and recovery
• Certified Diagnostic Laboratory
• X-Ray Department with Bone Densitometer and Ultrasound Unit (3) and
• Certified Mammography Unit
• Nuclear Medicine, heart station, EKG, treadmills, Holter Monitor, echo ECG
• Complete Pulmonary Unit with Spirometry, Peak Flow Monitoring & Survey System Plus
• Phase I and Pharmacokinetic Unit with infusion capabilities, private rooms, shower and TV
• Facilities for Provocative Meal Studies

We are conveniently located 15 minutes from an international airport, and minutes from major hotels, restaurants and shops, as well as one of Raleigh's largest hospitals, Rex Hospital which is located just 0.5 miles from our site.

Patient Demographics:

Wake Research draws from a subject population of over one million. Our current database includes over 950,000 patients and subjects. Our patient volunteer database is constantly expanding and provides our Sponsors with more homogeneous research groups and thus, stronger clinical research trials. Wake Research Associates prides itself in rapid recruitment, consistently being a top enroller in majority of clinical trials.

Additional Information:

As of today, our board-certified physicians have completed more than 7,000 successful clinical trials. Clinical trials at our site are always completed on time and with accuracy; we consistently exceed sponsor expectation for study start-up, subject enrollment, retention and delivery of accurate evaluable data.
